We were late today so we missed out on the lamb buns Nonetheless, we scored some chopsuey, lamb w/ pumpkins, beef stor fry and curry with kalo. Good customer service. Parking and wheelchair accessible. This is the sister branch of the North side Le Sunrise PT in South. Check them out if you're in the mood for Polynesian takeaway. Thanks for looking after us!

Logically when the price of food is cheap and the amount that is served for that cheap price is alot the quality of food goes downhill... This place defies that logic and serves great tasting food at a low price and keeps serving sizes big. Ridiculously good and you can't change my mind.

Today I was introduced to the wonders of what can only be described as Polynesian soul food. A humble store located inside a non-descript, blue collar shopping centre, Le Sunrise consists of some standard outside tables and chairs, behind which lies the main entrance. Inside, the layout is straightforward, with prepared food displayed from end to end at the counter, and some fridges/hotboxes to the side. It's as simple as order, pay, leave. Once inside, we joined the line (a common theme, apparently, and proof that this business is worth both the journey and the wait). It was actually a blessing to have a slight delay, as it allowed my friend to give me an overview of what was on offer. As meals can be ordered as 2, 3, or 5 choices, I opted for the 3, mainly as I'm not a massive eater. I selected the beef brisket, chop suey, and marinated chicken thigh. The price? A very conservative $12 for what can only be described as a lot of food! The brisket, much like a home-made corned beef, was flavoursome, moist, and incredibly tender. The chop suey was saucy and tasty, while the chicken also ticked every box. The entire meal was excellent, and I made so many 'approval noises' while eating that my mate was laughing and clapping! I decided to grab some last minute panikeke (Samoan pancakes) and, at 4 for $1, you can't go wrong. I bought a freshly cooked bag of 20 and ate several on the way home. They are dense little bundles of dough, with a nice hint of banana and some sugar to boot. They were really enjoyable and I look forward to my kids having them tonight, with some vanilla ice cream on the side. In summary, Le Sunrise was awesome. The food was wonderful and truly a home-cooked delight. This was no different to going to a relative's place for dinner. Straight from the stove to your belly, and you can really tell. And, last but not least, the staff were great too. I spoke to two people behind the counter, and both were friendly and chatty, even with the rush of people passing through. Two thumbs up, all the way!

Samoan Island Food Shop offers a delicious taste of the islands with authentic Samoan flavors. Their panikeke, sapasui, stir fry, feied rice, seafood mornay, lamb flaps, corned beef, pork head, luau and taro dishes are rich, satisfying. The staff are friendly and welcoming, making every visit feel like home. A must-visit for anyone craving real island-style cooking and generous portions.
